OCEANSIDE, CA — One person was killed, and two others were hurt following a major accident that happened in Oceanside, California on Sunday, December 7th, 2014. The article released by 10 News Now said that the accident happened at about 9:00 Sunday morning.
Right now, police think that one person was killed and two more were hurt when a Kia and a Ford pickup truck collided on Route 78. Authorities think that the pickup truck may have run the red light at the intersection with Jefferson Street.
The pickup truck then struck another Toyota pickup after the initial impact. One person was pronounced dead, while two others were taken to the hospital after the accident.
Colorado State Police are investigating the crash.

When somebody causes an accident while breaking the law, or violating a statute of some kind, we call this negligence per-se. So, if the offending pickup truck driver in this particular accident was speeding and ran the red light as the news suggested, then they could be considered negligent, and there could be a claim coming their way.
