Underwood, IA — Authorities haven’t released a lot of detail about this, but apparently a worker at the Jack Link’s Beef Jerky factor in Underwood was badly injured this past weekend. The news reports said that a woman at the factory was injured after something fell on her head.
This happened around 5:30 p.m. in the evening last Saturday, December 6, 2014. The woman was apparently working at the factor when a “pallet” fell on her head. Whether that was a standard wooden pallet or not wasn’t disclosed.
The woman was taken to a hospital and was last said to be in serious condition. Right now, the Link Snacks Inc. team has stated that they are providing medical care for their injuries worker, but that’s all they’ve said.
It’s not clear how the accident happened, but more investigation will surely follow.
