Monroe, NC — A woman was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Monroe, North Carolina, on Saturday, December 6, 2014. The accident took place in front of a private residence on NC 84, around 12:30 in the morning.
Rashonnda Rushing has been identified as the woman who lost control of her pickup and rolled over in the area of Rocky River Road. When the homeowners heard the crash, they hurried outside to find Rushing lying in the yard, having been ejected from her truck in the crash. She died at the scene.
Reports say that three men were with her in the vehicle, but suffered only cuts and bruises. Their names have not been released.
Police have begun investigating the accident and are saying they believe alcohol to be involved. The investigation continues.
