Russellville, AL — Police identified Michael Starnes as the man who was involved in an accident with an 18-wheeler just east of Russellville, Alabama, on Friday, December 5, 2014.
The accident took place at the intersection of Franklin 77 and Alabama 24 around 4:45 in the morning. It involved Starnes’ pickup truck and a Kenworth tractor-trailer.
Authorities don’t yet know how the two vehicle collided. They’ve said that Starnes crashed through the windshield and onto the road. Emergency workers took the man to Russellville Hospital.
His injuries were described as non-life-threatening. The name of the truck driver was not released. Any injuries they may have sustained were not elaborated on by police.
The crash is still being investigated.
