Porterville, CA — A 66-year old woman was killed in a car accident on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. The accident took place on Highway 190, just west of Porterville, California, around 10:15.
According to reports, the woman was a passenger in a vehicle that was slowing down to turn into a driveway. It was then that they were rear-ended by another vehicle being driven by a 22-year old.
The woman was seriously injured in the accident, and taken to Sierra View Medical Center, where she passed away a short time later. No other injuries were reported.

There are three predominant reasons accidents like this happen: 1) The driver is driving too fast. 2) The driver is following the vehicle ahead of him too closely, and 3) The driver isn’t paying attention to the road.
