Franklin Furnace, OH — There was a fatal car accident in rural Scioto County, Ohio this week that claimed three lives, police said. Daren Woods, 20, Natasha Bare, 23, and Jeremy Blanton, 24, were all killed when their car was in a wreck along Route 522.
This happened at about 7:00 p.m. on Monday of this week, December 1, 2014. Woods, Bare, and Blanton were all passengers in a Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Harold Roof, 51. As Roof drove his Chevy along eastbound Route 522, he lost control for unknown reasons that evening and swerved into the eastbound lanes.
His car crashed head-on into an oncoming pickup truck, which killed Daren Woods, Natasha Bare, and Jeremy Blanton immediately. Both Roof and the pickup truck driver, 45-year old Ruben Sprouse, were badly injured and Sprouse’s truck actually overturned due to the impact.
They were both taken to a hospital to be treated. Allegedly, Roof may be facing some drug-related charges as well.
