Commentary:
To be frank, the outcome of this accident is going to depend on a great number of details missing from the news. Before we can determine fault, we need to find out which one of the vehicles may have crossed the center line of traffic, or which vehicle entered the intersection without the right-of-way. Now, sometimes the police get things wrong, and being skeptical of their reports is healthy. I’ve seen a great many police and news reports be refuted with the bare-minimum amount of investigation work. Having your own investigation conducted could show that the police got their first-impression wrong, and could shift the tide of an accident proceedings.
