PITTSVILLE, MD — One person was killed in an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer outside Pittsville, Maryland on Tuesday, November 25th, 2014. the article from Del Marva Now Said that the accident happened around 3:15 Tuesday afternoon.
Police in charge of the accident investigation said that an as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when the pickup truck they were driving and a tractor-trailer collided while driving through the intersection of Route 54 and Gumboro Road. It is not clear from the news report what may have caused the accident.
The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead after the accident. They were alone in the truck at the time of the accident, and the news does not mention any injuries reported by the tractor-trailer driver after the crash.
The Maryland State Police are helping officials with the accident investigation, and expect to release more information in the coming days.
