Staten Island, NY — A man died after a trash bin fell off a truck and hit him in Staten Island, New York, on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. The accident happened at the Richmond County Country Club.
The man’s body was found behind the club not long after the accident happened. The falling trash bin caused trauma to his torso and head. Emergency workers transported the man to a local hospital, and he was pronounced dead.
Local news reports list the man as an employee of the Flag Container Service Company. His identity has not been released.
No one else was injured in the accident.
