Colchester, VT — Two people were killed in an accident with a garbage truck in Colchester, Vermont, on Friday, November 7, 2014. The accident took place near the Fanny Allen Walk-In Clinic on Route 15.
Witnesses to the accident say that the victims’ vehicle crossed the road’s center line before crashing into the truck. The victims were identified as 27-year old Justin Sterling and 28-year old Aleksander Melkumov.
Police are continuing to investigate the accident. At present, what caused the accident is still unclear.
No other people were injured in the accident. The driver of the garbage truck was not named by local news outlets covering the accident.
