Palm Beach, FL –Police in Balm Beach, Florida, identified Cesar Echavarria as the man who was killed in an accident with a dump truck on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. The accident took place in the 4700 block of South Shore Drive, around 4:00 in the afternoon.
Reports say that Echavarria was driving along South Shore and swerved in front of a passing dump truck. When police later spoke to the driver of the dump truck, the man said that it looked like Echavarria was talking on a phone and wasn’t watching the road when the accident happened.
The collision pushed Echavarria’s vehicle into a canal just off the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hazmat crews were called out to help clean up oil that was spilled in the accident. No other injuries were reported.
