MESQUITE, TX — A police officer was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident in Mesquite, Texas on Monday, November 3rd, 2014. The article released by NBC DFW said that the accident happened at about 5:23 Monday morning.
An as-of-yet unidentified police officer was hurt when the patrol car he was in was struck by another vehicle in the 1300 block of Interstate 30. Police in charge of the accident investigation said that the officer was assisting with a stalled vehicle when a Mitsubishi Eclipse struck the driver’s side of the patrol car.
The officer was taken by EMS to a nearby hospital where he was being treated. The driver of the Eclipse did not report immediate injuries after the accident.
Mesquite Police are still investigating the details of the crash.
