BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC — Barry Asbury was killed after a car accident in a construction zone in Beaufort, South Carolina on Thursday, October 23rd, 2014. The article from The Island Packet said that the accident happened at around 2:10 Thursday morning.
Barry Ashbury was killed when he hit by a vehicle on Highway 170 near Pearlstine Drive. Police said Asbury was a construction worker at a DOT repaving project when he was hit by a two-door Pontiac in the eastbound lanes.
Authorities said that Barry Asbury was killed in the accident.
The driver of the offending vehicle was identi9fied as Nicole McGuire, who currently faces drunk driving related charges stemming from the crash.
The South Carolina State Police is still investigating the accident.
