EUREKA, KS — Kelly Oxford died after a tractor-trailer accident that was reported just east of Eureka, Kansas on Monday, October 20th, 2014. News sources said that the accident happened around 9:15 Monday night.
46-year-old Kelly Oxford was killed when his SUV and a tractor-trailer collided on Highway 54 near the intersection with Highway 99. The SUV is believed to have crossed the middle of the road and hit an oncoming tractor-trailer head-on.
Oxford was killed in the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was identified as 44-year-old Michael Krokstrom, who was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Kansas Highway Patrol are still trying to pin down the cause of the accident.
