Lynchburg, VA — A student at Liberty University was critically injured last night (Wednesday, October 15, 2014) after she was hit by a semi-truck as she tried to cross a road on foot. Police said that Kung Jin Oh, 22, was identified as the student who was injured.
Oh is a student from South Korea as is currently studying at Liberty, they said. The accident happened at about 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday night, along Odd Fellows Road. Oh was apparently trying to cross the 3500 block of Odd Fellows Road when she was hit by a passing semi-truck.
The impact left her with critical injuries and she was taken to the local Lynchburg General Hospital. So far, it’s not clear why the truck driver didn’t see Oh, but police claimed that no charges would be filed here.
