Oakdale, NY — Two people were injured following an alleged DUI accident in Oakdale, New York, on Sunday, October 12, 2014. The accident happened on Sunrise Highway, west of Locust Avenue.
James Hober was traveling along Sunrise when he hit the back of a Chevrolet minivan being driven by Richard Mascia. Mascia suffered minor injuries and taken to Southside Hospital for treatment. Also inside the minivan with Mascia was JoAnne Barbato. Barbato suffered serious injuries to her arm, chest, and head.
Police say that Hober was driving while under the influence of alcohol and charged him with DWI. He was uninjured in the accident.
