Pine Township, PA — Two men were injured and one had to be taken to the hospital after nearly being crushed by a collapsing trench in Grove City, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, October 8, 2014.
The accident happened on George Junior Road. The two men were working on a sewer inside an 8-foot trench when the walls collapsed around 1:30 in the afternoon.
One of the men was buried up to his knees, and reports say that emergency workers were quickly able to remove him. The second man was buried up to his chest. That man was taken to Allegheny General Hospital for an injured shoulder and crush injuries. Police have yet to release them men’s names.
