THERMAL, CA — One man has died after a tractor-trailer collision at an intersection in Thermal, California on Tuesday, September 30th, 2014. The article released by KESQ said that the accident happened around 10:10 Tuesday morning.
The authorities said that the accident happened when a car and a tractor-trailer collided at the intersection of Grapefruit Boulevard and 62nd avenue. Investigators familiar with details of the accident said that the car may have run a stop light at the intersection when it struck the left front side of the tractor-trailer.
The driver of the car was taken by EMS to a nearby hospital where he died later.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was identified as Rafael Beltran, who was immediately unhurt in the accident.
California Highway Patrol officers are still investigating the accident.
