Commentary:
The news reports circulating around the accident are almost completely devoid of details of what happened, but based on the location of the accident, and photographs from the scene, we can make a few inferences and see a few theories as to what happened. First of all, the damage on the victim’s vehicle was on the passenger side. Furthermore, the truck was facing south after the accident. This tells me that the if the truck was southbound, to hit the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle, the victim’s vehicle would have had to be turning in front of the truck, or the victim’s vehicle was westbound at the intersection, and somebody failed to yield. There may be other possibilities, but this is what I see based on the information I have at hand. If the truck failed to yield to the victim’s vehicle, the moving company behind the truck is probably going to face liability in the accident.
