Lewis County, WV — Police said that there was an accident this past Thursday morning (October 2, 2014) that claimed the life of a French Creek man. They said that Lonnie Lake, 57 years old, was killed yesterday after his white work truck was in an accident with another truck – possibly a flatbed.
The accident happened yesterday afternoon at about 4:00 p.m., along Route 19. Lake was driving his white work truck north along Route 19 that afternoon when, for unknown reasons, he was hit by a another truck.
The accident killed Lake, though the reports don’t mention whether the other driver was harmed at all.
So far, it looks like the second truck Lake hit might have been a flatbed, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet. The news reports also didn’t mention which driver was at fault in the wreck.
