Lannon, WI — There was a small plane crash earlier this week that injured two people: a pilot, 79, and his passenger, 46. It happened in the Town of Lannon, near the Bugline Trail on Monday morning, September 22.
Police are saying that a small white plane was experiencing some potential engine problems in the Lannon area that morning around 11:00 a.m. Witnesses said the plane started to head west, then north, and then noticed it was flying very low.
The plane ended up crashing into a local backyard, leaving the pilot and his passenger with non-critical injuries.
One person said that he thought he heard engine trouble as the plane went down, but that’s still being investigated by the local authorities.
The plane had apparently taken off from Brookfield at the Capitol Drive Airport. So far, the news reports haven’t mentioned the name of the injured pilot or passenger, just their ages.
