Commentary:
Believe it or not, in most states, farm equipment has exemptions to many rules of the road, and often enjoy the right-of-way in most situations. It is pretty clear from the news that the truck driver was unaware of this when he came upon the tractor. Either he was driving to fast or wasn’t paying attention, and behavior like this, especially while operating an 80,000 pound vehicle should never go unpunished.
