Houston, TX — A man was killed in the 7200 block of Longview Street in Houston, Texas, on Sunday, September 21, 2014. The accident happened around 10:00 at night. People who lived in the neighborhood say that they heard a loud crash and came outside to find a man lying across the street from an abandoned pickup truck, whose driver had apparently fled the scene.
Police identified the man as Eric Ybarbo. They say that the truck they found is registered to Gabriel Ybarbo, Eric’s brother. A woman who spoke to police and said that Ybarbo was the father of her child said that he and Gabriel were close, and that she doesn’t think he had anything to do with the accident.
Police are investigating the accident, and waiting for the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences to get back to them with Ybarbo’s cause of death.
