Commentary
A driver’s responsibility isn’t only to other drivers, but also to those he’s driving with. If the news reports are accurate, and I have no reason to believe that they aren’t, it sounds as if the driver in this accident just wasn’t paying as close attention to what was out on the road as he could have been. If there was any negligence on his part, he’s going to be responsible for his passenger’s death.
