La Marque, TX authorities reported that a single-car accident on September 3, 2012 left four people injured, including 18-year old Francisco Briceno, 15-year old Sasha Soto, and 2 others. Police in the area said that Briceno was driving along Interstate 45, headed north, at about 5:57 p.m. when he lost control of his car on the Highway 6 exit.

His car reportedly left the roadway, became airborne, and crashed into a concrete pillar for a bridge. The accident sent Briceno and Soto to a local hospital. The other 2 occupants in Briceno’s car, who weren’t named, were also injured and taken to a nearby hospital. Of these two injuries, one was the result of being thrown from Briceno’s vehicle during the accident.
