Livingston, TX — A hit and run accident near Livingston, Texas, left a man dead on Friday, September 12, 2014. The accident took place just off of FM 3277, around ten o’clock that night.
Leslie Johnson has been identified as the man who found lying on the side of the road after being hit by a vehicle that failed to stop and render aid. Local reports say that the collision knocked Johnson more than 90 feet from the initial point of impact. Johnson was then struck by a second vehicle which was trying to swerve to avoid him. Darrell Longino, a Polk County Justice of the Peace, declared Johnson dead at the scene.
Police are currently searching for the vehicle responsible for the accident, although no details on the make and model have yet been released.
