PLEASANT GROVE, TX — One man was killed in a high-speed accident that happened in Pleasant Grove, Texas on Thursday, September 4th, 2014, according to the news article released by The Dallas Morning News.
Investigators from the Dallas Police say that 54-year-old Jerry Johnson was killed when he was struck by a speeding vehicle that is believed to have run the red light when he was trying to cross the street at the intersection of South Buckner Boulevard and Elam Road around 10:20 Thursday evening.
Police pronounced Jerry Johnson dead on the scene, and arrested the driver of the offending vehicle. He was later identified by police as 26-year-old Avery Gardener, who currently face charges of manslaughter in connection with the crash.
The Dallas Police Department is in charge of the accident.
