Scott County, MN — A woman was killed in an accident with a dump truck in Scott County, Minnesota, on Thursday, September 4, 2014. The accident took place on Highway 41, near U.S. 169, around eleven in the morning.
The victim has been identified as Kathryn Robinson. The dump truck was being driven by Justin Peabody.
Although police are continuing to investigate the crash, preliminary reports indicate that Robinson was traveling in the northbound lanes of 41 when she swerved into oncoming traffic. Peabody also swerved, attempting to avoid the collision, but was ultimately unable to.
Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene. Peabody was uninjured.
