Commentary
Because reports are offering conflicting information, we’ll have to wait and see what authorities discover in their investigation before anyone’s really able to chart a way forward. Obviously, if the truck involved rammed into the victims’ vehicle, it’s a strong possibility that they’d be found liable for the accident. And there would be some questions that we’d need to start asking. If the truck is responsible, why? Was the driver watching the road? If not, why not? What’s happened here is tragic, and if it turns out the truck was responsible, then the driver and the company need to be held responsible.
