Smith County, TX — According to a report coming out of Smith County, TX, a man was hospitalized after getting into an accident with an 18-wheeler on Thursday, September 4, 2014. The accident took place on Highway 69 at County Road 152.
Police are reporting that a driver of a passenger vehicle was traveling along 69 when he feel asleep at the wheel and collided with an 18-wheeler that was making a u-turn. Emergency workers transported the man to a local hospital. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities have said that he’ll be cited for causing the accident. His name has not been released.
There’s been no word on the driver of the 18-wheeler.
