Newton, MS — The investigation into the deaths of three people in Newton, Mississippi, has only uncovered a few details so far. Commentary
One aspect of accidents like this that unfortunately is often overlooked are the passengers in a vehicle who are injured or killed because of a decision the driver made. Just because these individuals are in the same vehicle as the driver doesn’t mean that they’re also guilty of his actions, or have their rights thrown out the window. In a case like this, the driver would be liable for the injuries sustained by his passengers. Likewise, if the driver of the truck is found to have done anything wrong, then he could potentially be found partially liable for the accident, and the families of those inside the car would have a claim against him.
