INDIANAPOLIS, IN — A major accident between a passenger car and a semi-truck sent one driver to the hospital on Wednesday, August 26th, 2014, according to the article released by Fox 59.
Authorities say that 23-year-old Donald Cooper was hurt when the Honda he was driving collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer while cutting through traffic on Highway 465 around 6:10 Wednesday morning.

Donald Cooper was trapped in the Honda after the collision, and was taken by EMS personnel to a nearby hospital after he was cut from the vehicle. The driver of the tractor-trailer was identified in the news summary as Isaac Jefferson, who was immediately unhurt in the accident.
The report indicates that the truck was attempting to work its way on to the shoulder after experiencing a mechanical problem.
The Indiana State Police are still investigating the accident.
