Salado, TX — A mother and her young son were injured in an accident with an 18-wheeler near Salado, Texas, on Thursday, August 21, 2014. The accident took place near mile marker 289 on Interstate 35.
According to reports, the 18-wheeler, which was part of a construction crew working on that section of the road, was moving out into the center median to get a load of gravel. It was then that the truck was hit by a Suburban being driven by the woman, whose name has not been released.
The mother and her son sustained minor injuries. The accident is still being investigated.
