Commentary
There are still a lot of questions that need to be answered here before anyone will really be able to move forward. The biggest being, obviously, who is at fault? I can conceive of scenarios in which the fault lies entirely with the pickup truck and others in which the fault lies entirely with the box truck. The truth, as with so many other things, probably lies somewhere in the middle. It will be the job of investigators to look at the evidence and see where the most fault lies. Of course, accidents like these — especially ones which involve trucking companies — can be very tricky for those involved. It’s always a good idea to consult with individuals you trust, people who have had experience with these sorts of cases and who will look out for your best interests.
