Riverdale, CA — Police have reported that one person was killed and at least one other person was injured in an accident between a fuel tanker and a passenger vehicle near Riverdale, California, on Sunday, August 17, 2014. The accident took place on Highway 41, around five in the morning.
At this time, it’s unclear if it was the passenger vehicle that crashed into the tanker, or the other way around. The accident caused the fuel tanker to burst into flames, and set fire to the surrounding area.
Emergency workers took at least one person to Community Regional Medical Center. There’s been no information on the extent of the injuries they sustained.
The accident is still being investigated.
