Fort Myers, FL — There was an accident between a Mitsubishi Eclipse and a semi-truck on Corkscrew Road last Friday morning that left one man injured. Police said that Nelson Espinoza, 21, was injured when his Mitsubishi was in a head-on wreck with semi-truck after he accidentally swerved into oncoming traffic.
It happened just east of Fort Myers, late in the morning last Friday – August 15, 2014. Police said that Espinoza was driving east along Corkscrew Road that morning when he suddenly lost control and veered into the westbound lanes, where his smaller car crashed into an oncoming semi-truck.
The accident left Espinoza with injuries and he was taken to Lee Memorial, but was believed to be in non life-threatening condition. The truck driver was also injured, but not badly. So far, it doesn’t look like alcohol was a factor, and it’s not very clear why Espinoza lost control of his car that morning.
