Springdale, AR — Eliseo Landa-Zamora has been identified as the man killed in a single-vehicle accident in Springdale, Arkansas, on Monday, August 11, 2014. The accident took place near the intersection of Meadow Avenue and Commercial Street.
Five people were inside a Chevrolet Trailblazer that rolled several times after the driver, Gustavo Escalante, lost control of the vehicle. Two people were ejected from the vehicle.
Authorities found that Escalante had a BAC of 0.11. The legal limit is 0.08. Escalante reportedly told authorities that he was “buzzed” while driving.
A woman inside the SUV was taken to the hospital. At last report, it was unknown whether or not she’d survive. Two individuals inside the SUV fled the scene of the accident.
