Titus County, TX — Three people, including a 4-year old boy, were injured in an accident that involved two 18-wheelers in Titus County, Texas, on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. The accident took place on Highway 271, about ten miles north of Mount Pleasant.
Cais Simmons was the driver of a vehicle that drifted into the north lane of 271 and collided with an 18-wheeler. A second 18-wheeler, in an attempt to avoid a collision, drove off the highway and rolled over.
Simmons and a 4-year old boy inside the car were taken to a hospital in Dallas, Texas. The boy is reported to be in critical condition. There’s been no word on Simmons.
Glen Banglider, the driver of the second 18-wheeler, was taken to St. Michael Hospital for his injuries. James Lewis, the driver of the second 18-wheeler, was not injured.
