Trinity, NC — Billy Sherrer has been identified as the man injured in an accident involving a tractor trailer in Trinity, North Carolina, on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. The accident took place on Interstate 85, near Finch Farm Road, around 3:15 in the morning.
According to reports, Sherrer was driving a tractor trailer when he was sideswiped by a pickup truck. The collision caused him to drive off the interstate and rollover. Emergency crews were called in to extricate him from the vehicle.
Sherrer was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. At last report he was listed in good condition.
James Dildy, the driver of the pickup truck, was charged with careless and reckless driving. Officials say he was drowsy during his drive.
