East Jackson, TN — An accident between a car and a school bus sent one person to the hospital in Jackson, Tennessee, on Monday, August 4, 2014. The accident took place at the intersection of Highway 70 and Cartmell Road, around two in the afternoon.
According to reports, the school bus rear-ended the car at the intersection. The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital. Witnesses say that there were no students on the bus at the time of the accident. Authorities are still investigating the accident to try and discover what caused it.
Those involved have not been named. A spokesperson for the Jackson-Madison County School System said the bus will be taken out of rotation for several days until it’s able to be repaired.
