McALLEN, TX — A chain reaction accident left a 36-year-old man dead in McAllen, Texas on Saturday, July 19th, 2014, according to the news report released by KRGV.
Police familiar with details of the crash investigation have said that they have reason to believe 36-year-old Rolando Sifuentes was killed when he stopped to help a stranded motorist and the vehicle was struck by another car near the intersection of Bensten Road and Pecan Boulevard.

Rolando Sifuentes was killed in the accident. Two other people were taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
McAllen Police were investigating the crash at the time of publication.
Commentary:
A great deal of fault in this accident is going to hinge on the positioning of the stalled vehicle, and the speed of the offending driver at the time of the accident. If the vehicles were blocking the lanes of traffic, then there could be some portion of fault on the broken down driver. More likely however, is that the driver that struck the stalled vehicle is at fault. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn about speeding or distracted driving in this situation either.
