Commentary:
Just based on a single news article, I see a number of avenues this investigation could go. First and foremost, I’d be interested to see which one of the vehicles involved in the crash had the right-of-way at the intersection. If one of the drivers failed to yield to the right-of-way, that driver would probably bear some fault in the accident. On the other hand, judging by the time of the accident, even though it is not mentioned in the news, I’d be interested to see what role, if any, alcohol played in the crash. If this turns out to be alcohol related, there could be a claim against the bar the driver left before the crash.
