Commentary
Contrary to popular belief, 18-wheelers aren’t terrible safe vehicles. Many don’t have airbags. If they’re in any considerable accident, the cab is often ripped apart. Many have had problems with the placement of the fuel tanks. And if the truck’s haul is ever improperly loaded, it’s not inconceivable that the truck would have an easier time flipping over. It’s possible that that’s what happened here. From the sound of it, this seems like it would be a workers comp case. If a third party were somehow involved, that could change things up a bit, however, from what’s been reported, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
