Commentary:
In this scenario, putting the truck under a microscope would be a good idea. While there is always a chance that the driver was going too fast and could not control the truck in the road, but there is an equal chance that the air brakes failed and the vehicle was rendered uncontrollable. These trucks are constructed with very similar systems that regular cars are, but they’re much larger to compensate for the 80,000 pound vehicle. Just like regular consumer vehicles, these parts can fail, and often do simply due to the harsh lifespans they are exposed to on the road. One look could tell us what caused this accident, and who could be responsible.
