PORTER, TX — One worker was seriously injured after a tree-trimming accident that happened in Porter, Texas on Tuesday, July 15th, 2014, according to the news article released by The Montgomery County Police Reporter.
Porter Fire Officials say that one man suffered a lower leg amputation when he was pinned by a tree limb that he had cut while working near the intersection of Summer Hills Drive and Butterfly around 6:30 in the evening Tuesday.

The worker was freed and transported to Hermann Hospital where he lost his lower right leg, and remained in critical condition after the accident.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing, and it is not clear if officials from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration have begun their evaluation of the incident.
