FORT WORTH, TX — A single-vehicle accident sent both a driver and a passenger to the hospital in Fort Worth, Texas on Friday, July 4th, 2014, according to the news report from The Dallas Morning News.
Investigators believe that two people were hurt when the car they were in crashed off the Northeast 28th Street Bridge around 5:00 Friday morning near the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Both women in the vehicle were taken by EMS personnel to John Peter Smith Hospital where updates on their conditions were immediately unavailable.
The Fort Worth Police Department is currently conducting their investigation at this time.
Commentary:
People have a serious problem blaming drivers for single vehicle accidents, but is this giving the accident the subjective investigation it deserves? Absolutely not. While there is always a chance this was caused by a driver’s mistake, but there is also a chance that there was a major and catastrophic problem in the vehicle that caused the crash, and both options need to be explored equally. Blaming the driver for an accident the day it happens based on a news report is not only quick to judgment, it is simply bad investigative work.
