INDIANAPOLIS, IN — A pedestrian has died after a road accident in Indianapolis, Indiana on Saturday, July 5th, 2014, according to the news report from WISH-TV.
Police say that they think one person died when they were struck by a vehicle when they were walking on West 56th Street. It is not clear what time the accident took place, nor the lighting conditions at the scene of the accident.
Scene of the Accident:
The victim was taken by EMS personnel to a nearby hospital where he died a short time later. The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene, and was cooperating with the investigation.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are currently investigating the accident, and hope any eyewitnesses that have not yet come forward will do so in an effort to aid police in better understanding what may have caused the fatal incident.
