AUSTIN, TX — A single-vehicle accident left one driver in the hospital in Austin, Texas on Thursday, July 3rd, 2014, according to the report from KXAN.
According to police, around 6:30 Thursday morning a man was hurt when the vehicle he was driving crashed and rolled into a utility pole on the service road to Interstate 35.
Scene of the Accident
The driver was found unresponsive by emergency personnel, and was taken by EMS personnel to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
The Houston Police Department is still trying to find the cause of the accident.
Commentary:
In this situation, there is obviously a good chance driver error played a part in the crash, but is this the only possibility? Absolutely not. We see almost daily where a car manufacturer has issued a recall to millions of its vehicles. Is it really outside the realm of possibility that this vehicle is in need of recall, but one has yet to be issued? Nobody could possibly say for sure until the wreckage is combed for evidence.
