Fort Worth, TX — A woman was killed in Fort Worth on Thursday, June 26, 2014, when witnesses say she ran a red light and collided with an 18-wheeler. The accident took place at the intersection of North Sylvania Avenue and Meacham Boulevard, around seven in the evening.
The victim has been identified as Ida Teague. Witnesses say Teague appeared to be talking on her cell phone at the time of the accident.
Emergency workers coming onto the scene took Teague to John Peter Smith Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
