Update: The victim here, Braxton Nuon, was supposedly found to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the wreck. There’s an updated version of this post here.
SMITH COUNTY, TX — A single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a teenager in Smith County, Texas on Sunday, June 22nd, 2014, according to the report from CBS 19tv.
Representatives from the Texas Department of Transportation believe that 17-year-old Braxton Nuon was killed when the pickup truck he was driving is believed to have skidded off the road while driving on FM 848.

Braxton Nuon was taken by EMS personnel to ETMC where he died a short time after the accident.
The investigation is currently ongoing at this time.
Commentary:
There is always a chance that this accident was caused by driver error, or inexperience, but sometimes there are questions still lingering in the minds of some people. For those leftover nagging questions, there are independent investigations that can be conducted to see if something besides a mistake on the part of the driver caused the accident.
